METHOD OF EVALUATING THE ANTICORROSION PROPERTIES OF LUBRICANTS AND OILS,

Abstract

The quality of grease to protect against corrosion can be tested in the following way. Cover the metallic surface with a layer 0.05-1 mm thick of the tested grease and treat the surface with a 3% sodium chloride solution. The degree of corrosion taking place is indicated by an instrument connected to the metallic surface and measuring the corrosive current. (Author)
