PARAMETRIC RESONANCE OF A ROTOR ON ROLLER BEARINGS,

Abstract

Rolling contact bearings are regarded as elastic bodies depending for their toughness on the type of bearings, the number and the position of rollers. With any load it is possible to mark infinitely numerous zones of unsteadiness having a definite corresponding number of bearing retainer revolutions. Experiments indicate that the first two areas of unsteadiness are dangerous. The conventional method of calculating rolling contact bearings according to the coefficient of efficiency should be supplemented with some formulae of verification. If the chosen number of bearing retainer revolutions is in the area of unsteadiness, another bearing should be chosen. (Author)
