SUPERSONIC GAS FLOWS IN PERFORATED BOUNDARIES,

Abstract

The book presents the results of the numerous research works performed by the authors in the period 1949-51 on the effect of perforated boundaries on supersonic-flow structures. In particular, it presents the results of theoretical and experimental investigations of new general properties of supersonic-gas flows in perforated boundaries. Methods of regulating the M number in rigid nozzles, straightening of supersonic flows, and increasing of permissible test model sizes in supersonic wind tunnels are described. (Author)
