ROCKET OBSERVATIONS OF BRIGHT CELESTIAL INFRARED SOURCES,

Abstract

Several celestial sources have been detected in the 20-30 micron spectral region by a rocket borne telescope. The average flux is of the order of 4 x 10 to the -14th power watt/sq cm. It appears that these sources are extragalactic and have luminosities comparable with the quasars. (Author)
