POSTATTACK RESEARCH. VOLUME II: REVIEWS AND ABSTRACTS OF RESEARCH ON POSTATTACK MEDICAL AND HEALTH PROBLEMS.

Abstract

This study provides formatted abstracts and a comparative review of nine research tasks on post-nuclear-attack medical and health problems. Documents were selected for review on the basis of information contributed on the expected size and types of medical and health problems, the impact of these problems on postattack survival and recovery, and the effects of treatment and other countermeasures on these problems. A comparative review of direct-effects casualties and in-shelter problems, and post-shelter medical problems are presented followed by conclusions and recommendations which are derived from the review.
