SYNTHESIS OF HIGH SPEED HOMOPOLAR ALTERNATORS AND THEORY OF SOLID ROTOR ELECTRICAL MACHINES PHASE CC, PART II.

Abstract

Various numerical techniques for computing vector potential in the saturated solid rotor induction machine are discussed and their applicability indicated. The effect of permeability underrelaxation in the iterative scheme is described. A method is introduced allowing computation of underrelaxation factors based on local levels of saturation. The problems of obtaining sufficient accuracy in the solution are discussed. (Author)
