ARMY AIRLIFT TESTS.

Abstract

A test program was conducted for the purpose of developing procedures for the transport of ordnance weapons system by Army aircraft. The report covers the second phase of the program in which tests were made with the Little John, LaCrosse, and Davy Crockett systems. The report shows data on the shock and vibration environment of the cargo deck of the aircraft and forces in the external slings and at the helicopter cargo hook. For transport of the items in the Army aircraft used in these tests, the forces in the external slings were within working strength ratings. (Author)
