THEORY OF ELECTRODYNAMIC EFFECTS IN MOLECULAR CRYSTALS.

Abstract

It is reported that theoretical work on two aspects of transport in van der Waals crystals (energy transfer in polyacenes, charge transfer in solid rare gases) has been brought to a successful conclusion, and that significant progress has been made in the quantitative understanding of one of nature's most important mechanisms, namely, the one responsible for energy transfer between chlorophyll molecules.
