INERTIAL PRECIPITATION MECHANISM OF A COARSELY DISPERSED AEROSOL ON TERRESTRIAL VEGETATION

Abstract

Field tests were conducted in the precipitation of coarsely dispersed aerosols to determine the role of inertial precipitation. Windvane collectors were used in the tests. Microscopic examination made it possible to determine the mean ratio m sub v/m sub h. It was found that the inertial precipitation of an aerosol on vegetation can prevail over gravitational precipitation.
