PREPARATION AND PURIFICATION OF SILICON CARBIDE.

Abstract

The bibliography is based on Soviet open source materials available at the Aerospace Technology Division and the Library of Congress and generally covers the period from 1966 to July 1967, although some pertinent 1965 materials were also included. The subject coverage is not exhaustive, but it is felt that the materials collected represent all major trends of Soviet research and development in the covered field. For the purpose of retrieval, the materials were divided into two parts. Part I covers problems of silicon carbide preparation and the growing of silicon carbide single crystals and thin films for semiconductor devices. Part II treats problems of purity, including the purification and chemical analysis of silicon carbide and of starting materials for silicon carbide preparation.
