ENERGY TRANSFER MECHANISMS IN THE CO2 LASER: A SHORT BIBLIOGRAPHY WITH KWIC INDEX,
Abstract
This is a short bibliography which was compiled to help provide an experimental and theoretical background for a study of collisional energy transfer mechanisms occurring in the CO2 laser. The emphasis is on vibrational and rotational transitions due to atom-molecule and molecule-molecule collisions, but some work concerning molecular collisions with other particles is included. This bibliography is intended to be a supplement to the references listed in the review papers of Takayanagi (1963) and Patel (1967) but there is some overlap. The 'KWIC' (key-word-in-context) index which follows the bibliographic listing provides a subject index in which the (non-trivial) words appearing in all document titles are arranged alphabetically and displayed in context, that is, surrounded by the neighboring words in the title. The desired document is then located by its document reference number under which it appears in the bibliographic listing. (Author)
