SUPERSONIC FLOW AROUND OF A SPHERE BY A COMBUSTIBLE MIXTURE OF GASES WITH CONSIDERATION OF IGNITION DELAY TIME,

Abstract

A numerical resolution is given of the problem of flow around a sphere by a fuel mixture with the simplest model of the structure of the burn zone in which the whole flow after the forward shock consists of two regions of adiabatic flow - the induction region and the region of equilibrium flow of combustion products, divided by the burn front, in which the mixture burns instantly. A solution is given only for the subsonic and transonic regions of flow. (Author)
