PRODUCTION OF PURE COMPACT TUNGSTEN AND ITS COATINGS BY DEPOSITION FROM GASEOUS PHASE,

Abstract

The thermal decomposition of tungsten hexachloride was studied in an effort to develop new methods for producing pure compact tungsten and tungsten coatings. The experimental results are shown graphically. The production of tungsten pipes with walls 150--200 microns thick by depositing tungsten on molybdenum rods and removing the rods by dissolution is described. (Author)
