Abstract

In this introduction to the book, the 'Use of Computers in Architectural and Structural Design,' the author briefly discusses the use of computers in structural design and in performing laborious and tedius mass-type calculations in the structural design process. Several institutes now utilizing computers in planning and design work are also mentioned, as well as the idea of a plan for a completely computerized state construction program.
