DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS SURVEY

Abstract

This report presents the results of a survey of salient characteristics of a representative set of state-of-the-art data management systems. It is part of an effort to identify the state-of-the-art capabilities of data management systems for third-generation computer systems. Section I of the report includes general descriptions of the systems surveyed and establishes the terminology for logical organization of data used in the survey. Section II describes the capabilities surveyed and presents the survey results in tabular format.
