Abstract

The current status of 6.1 work units in the area of drag reduction is briefly reviewed. Particular emphasis is laid on current work at the Naval Research Laboratory and its relevance to the overall 6.1 work program. The history of drag reduction is briefly reviewed and important landmarks in this area are cited up to the present date. (Author)
