S-SEMIGROUPS OF AUTOMATA.

Abstract

A new means of associating a semigroup with an automaton is presented. Some preliminary results are reported that suggest that this new class of semigroups more faithfully carries the structure of the original automaton than the classical semigroup approach does. (Author)
