MULTIFORMAT ELECTROLUMINESCENT DISPLAY.

Abstract

The objective of the investigation was to analyze and develop solutions to several problem areas which could have potentially precluded effective application of seven inch square, thin-film electroluminescent (TFEL) panels for future airborne multiformat displays. These problem areas were: electrical connection reliability (panel-driver system interface); brightness - nonuniformity (over the whole display); initial turn-on delay (individual lamps); rapid deterioration (individual lamps).
