THE SYNTHESIS OF SPECIAL FLUORINE-CONTAINING MONOMERS

Abstract

A large number of fluorine-containing intermediates were synthesized and submitted for further polymer studies. Among the organic fluorine compounds synthesized were (a) various bicyclobutenyl derivatives, (b) Grignard reaction products, (c) perhalocycloalkenes containing vinylic halogens (I, Br, Cl, F.) and (d) vinylic mono- and di-carboxylic acids of perhalocycloalkenes.
