THE EFFECT OF DRY FRICTION ON THE MOTION OF A GYROSCOPE WITH FORCED ROTATION OF THE CARDAN SUSPENSION,

Abstract

The article discusses the influence of dry friction on the motion of an unbalanced gyroscope with forced rotation of the Cardan suspension. It is shown that in the first approximation such a gyroscope, in contrast to the ordinary one, does not have systematic errors and the nutational oscillations of its axis are damped. (Author)
