ORGANIZATION OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF INFORMATION IN A SPECIALIZED COMPUTER FOR THE CONTROL OF ELECTRON-BEAM TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSES OF MICROCIRCUIT PREPARATION,

Abstract

This article describes the organization of information flow within a specialized computer for the control of electron-ray technological processes of microcircuit preparation. Process machine control is effected through an information distributing device whose basic function is the automatic input of frame codes from the computer unit, from punched tape, or from a control console. A second function is the transfer of control to units for the execution of tasks specified within the codes themselves. Each code is divided into registers containing binary words specifying ten parameters, including four position (coordinate) parameters, two integrator parameters, and four parameters governing the number of impulses, the length of an impulse, the length of a pause in an impulse, and the radiation stream intensity value. The information system is block-diagrammed, and its components are discussed. The generation of typical codes is traced with respect to the component diagrams.
