DETERMINATION OF THIOFORMAMIDE AND FORMAMIDE BY THE INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY METHOD,

Abstract

During the synthesis of vitamin B1, thioformamide is produced as an intermediate product. Thioformamide is not separated from the reaction mixture and is used in the final synthesis. This work proposes a method of infrared spectroscopy for determination of thioformamide and formamide in the reaction mixture. (Author)
