METHOD OF DETERMINING THE PERFORMANCE OF LUBRICANTS WITH ADDITIVES USING THE IKM-1 MACHINE WITH A FOUR-CYCLE AIR-COOLED CARBURETOR ENGINE,

Abstract

The proposed method for determining the performance of additive oils on the special one cylinder IKM-1 engine unit with a 4-cycle air-cooled carburetor makes it possible to evaluate base oils in relation to their chemical composition, original raw material, and technological processing; to determine the functional properties of individual additives; and, to select optimum combinations of additives to obtain the desired type of oils.
