STATIC RESPONSE OF RADIAL GAS DYNAMIC BEARING TO ANGULAR DISPLACEMENT OF JOURNAL AXIS,

Abstract

The function of the pressure for a radial gas dynamic bearing of finite length with angular displacement of the journal axis was found by the method of 'joining' asymptotic solutions for small and large values of the compressibility number. Expressions were obtained for computing the restoring moment for two systems: (a) shaft set in two radial bearings, (b) shaft set in one centrally located bearing. (Author)
