DERUSTING CORROSION SPECIMENS: STANNOUS CHLORIDE AS AN ACID DERUSTING INHIBITOR

Abstract

The report discusses the use of an inhibitor in acid derusting of corrosion test specimens to prevent attack of the underlying metal. Emphasized is the action of stannous chloride as an inhibitor in the acid derusting process. Test data are given to substantiate the performance of the inhibitor.
