APPROXIMATE CALCULATION OF PROBABILITIES OF ATMOSPHERIC WATER-VAPOR DENSITY,

Abstract

Approximate estimates of the integral probabilities of atmospheric water-vapor densities of (in g/cu m) were obtained from data in tables of hourly observations at 30 airports in the USSR from 1954 through 1958. Since the information on humidity contained in these tables was not given in terms of the vapor pressure, but in dew points, water-vapor density was determined from dew points and air temperatures. The probabilities of water-vapor densities were calculated for each station on punched-card machinery. (Author)
