MATHEMATICAL THEORY OF CONTROL OF NONLINEAR PROCESSES.

Abstract

The research conducted during the year centered around development of analysis and synthesis techniques for controlled systems having many degrees of freedom. The models considered were primarily of the differential or differential-difference equation type. Some preliminary investigations were made when the model is of the partial differential equation type for controlled systems with distributed parameters. Specific topics considered were: (1) Stabilizing feedback controllers, (2) Optimal control, (3) Identification and realizability, (4) Large scale optimization, and (5 Simulation techniques. (Author)
