A KINEMATIC SIMULATION BASED ON ORBITAL ELEMENT PERTURBATION THEORY.

Abstract

The report contains the development of a kinematic simulation that has been used to model the dynamic behavior of a tether-connected dumbbell satellite that is varying dimensionally in the axial direction. In the simulation the end bodies are treated as being in independent orbits that are periodically perturbed in the direction of the baseline. (Author)
