STUDIES ON IMMUNITY IN EXPERIMENTAL SHIGELLOSIS: SPECIAL REFERENCE TO LOCAL ANTIBODY AND ITS NATURE.

Abstract

It was shown that the protective ability against homologous serotype of organisms can be induced by oral administration of aceton killed organisms, if the total dose of vaccine exceeds 600 mg, and the protective ability was quite strong. It was also shown that it is easier to induce the ability against Flexneri than to induce it against Sonnei I. But, it was shown that the protective ability is a short lived immunity, although it appeared rather earlier. (Author)
