A SUCCESSIVE APPROXIMATION PROCEDURE FOR NONLINEAR DATA SMOOTHING,

Abstract

A Newton-Raphson differential correction procedure is developed to solve the nonlinear two-point boundary-value problem of fixed interval data smoothing for noisy nonlinear dynamic systems. A numerical example is included to illustrate the procedure. (Author)
