THE NEW HIGH PRECISION OPTICAL THEODOLITE, T1,

Abstract

This article describes the new Soviet T1 theodolite, which was developed by EOMZ, TsNIIGAiK (Electrotechnical, Optical and Mechanical Plant, Central Scientific Research Institute of Geodesy, Aerial Survey, and Cartography). Its production is to begin in 1969. The T1 is designed to replace the OT-02 model theodolite. It incorporates several unique features in its design to make it a very high-precision instrument to be used in machine building, architectural construction, and various engineering enterprises. The T1 can be used in all four orders of triangulation and polygonometry. (Author)
