KINETICS OF THE ACTION OF AN ENZYME CAPABLE OF DECAPSULATING BACILLUS ANTHRACIS,

Abstract

The optimum conditions for the action of an enzyme from duck liver (Anas Domestiqua), which decapsulates Bacillus anthracis, are studied. A method is developed for partial purification of the enzyme, as well as methods of measuring the decapsulating activity. Data are presented on the Kinetics of the action of the decapsulating enzyme. The similarities and differences between the decapsulating enzyme from duck liver and similar enzymes from animals and bacteria are compared. (Author)
