SEPARATION OF DEUTERIUM FROM HYDROGEN BY MEANS OF THE LOW-TEMPERATURE DISTILLATION METHOD,

Abstract

The method mentioned in above title proved to be the most suitable and economical one for the production and preparation of deuterium. It was worked out and applied on a large industrial scale. In the present paper, a survey of the present state and problems connected with it in the USSR and abroad is given on the basis of published data. The main schemes of deuterium separation plants are represented and described. The following problems are dealt with: rectification, heat emission, heat insulation, purification of hydrogen from impurities, and realization of the method in industry. (Author)
