A MICRO METHOD OF DETERMINING THE WATER CONTENT OF NYLON,

Abstract

A method of determining the water content of small samples of nylon weighing between 10 mgm and 100 mgm is described. The method applies to the examination of samples which are finely divided, as well as to single fragments, such as shavings or chippings, which have been pared or cut from a large specimen in the form of a moulded article. It can thus be applied to the study of the degree of moisture penetration throughout a piece of fabricated material. (Author)
