CONCEPTS IN SPECTRAL UNFOLDING.

Abstract

The report discusses the problem of unfolding spectral information from a set of measured data, using response functions of the experimental apparatus. General concepts, applicable to a number of unfolding problems, are developed in terms of a basic Fredholm equation. Particular emphasis is placed upon methods for determining the errors and resolution of unfolded data. (Author)
