A METHOD OF QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION OF MICROORGANISMS IN SUBSTANCES,

Abstract

This Author Certificate presents a method for quantitative determination of microorganisms in substances such as milk products. A specimen of the tested substance is acted upon by hydrogen peroxide. The amount of microorganisms is determined from the volume of gas separated in the course of plasmolysis. Each 200-m1 specimen of the tested substance is treated with about 20 m1 of 3% aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide. (Author)
