MECHANICAL TEST EQUIPMENT TO STUDY FLEXURAL RELAXATION AND RELATED PROPERTIES,

Abstract

A new flexural test to study stress relaxation is described and data presented for low density polyethylene, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polypropylene, mild steel, and carbon fibre composite. It is shown that the test can be used quantitatively or qualitatively to provide data for quality control, engineering design, or polymer research requirements. (Author)
