PURE DEVIATORIC SHEAR TEST OF SOILS.

Abstract

The report describes the concept of pure deviatoric loading for shear testing of soils and compressible materials. Test data of different types of soils are presented and the results discussed. The effect of the rate loading on the shear strength of Kaoline clay and loess in the pure deviatoric test is small. (Author)
