ENERGY LEVELS AND TRANSITION PROBABILITIES OF IRON DOPED SAPPHIRE.

Abstract

The report contains data on energy levels and transition probabilities for Fe+++ in Al2O3 for the two specific cases of an external magnetic field either parallel or perpendicular to the optical axis of the crystal. The nomenclature adopted is the one used by W. S. Chang and A. E. Siegman for Cr3+ in Al2O3. (Author)
