FIBER OPTICS WITH EXTENDED ULTRAVIOLET TRANSMISSION.

Abstract

Thermal expansion and viscosity-temperature measurements were made on candidate cladding and core glasses. Scaling-up processes were initiated and a comprehensive program for increasing uv transmission of lanthanum zinc borate and lanthanum barium calcium borate glasses as developed earlier was started.
