NONLINEAR REGRESSION AND TRANSFORMATIONS.

Abstract

The report attempts to give the scientist, engineer or laboratory manager an intuitive understanding of the concepts of regression so that he will be better prepared to interpret the results of such analyses. Background material is given for both the linear and nonlinear forms of regression and an attempt made to indicate the circumstances under which each is appropriate. A practical example is given to illustrate graphically and analytically the methods developed in the article. (Author)
