PRELIMINARY LONG-PERIOD DISCRIMINATION RESULTS FROM NORSAR

Abstract

Data from the short-period vertical subarray near Oyer and the multicomponent long-period seismograph near Faldalen, Oyer and Trysil, Norway, were used to investigate the discrimination of earthquakes and underground nuclear detonations using long-period to short-period energy ratio (M sub s vs m sub b).
