INTERPRETATION OF X-RAY POWDER DIFFRACTION PATTERNS FROM MULTI-PHASE MATERIALS.

Abstract

The problems of interpretation of x-ray powder data from multi-phase materials are discussed. A computer analysis is described to facilitate solution of such problems. In the most successful cases the computer will provide a complete set of reflection indices separated into sub-patterns, and least squares determined lattice parameter values for each of the diffracting phases.
