CONVECTIVE AND BOILING HEAT TRANSFER UNDER HIGH CENTRIFUGAL ACCELERATIONS.

Abstract

The centrifugal boiler and associated supporting equipment was reassembled and modified from another location and put into operation. The minimum delta T has been computed for ebullition in a centrifugal field based on equations for bubble growth and collapse. These delta T's are equal to or smaller than those observed experimentally. The temperature profile around a bubble was computed in terms of measurable bubble heat fluxes and ambient temperature measurements. (Author)
