IMPLICATIONS OF AGRICULTURAL AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT,

Abstract

The document presents an initial inventory of key options related to agricultural and industrial development. It describes, but does not evaluate, broad and basic program alternatives. The inventory provides a preliminary array of variables useful in social-economic accounting to characterize current or future industrial or agricultural aspects of particular societies. This prototype analysis generates questions regarding the requirements in the process of resource deployment. The direction of the economy and the sources of capital are also considered. Data collected in 1964 and related to 1970 projections for Colombia are analyzed. A description of public evaluation of each alternative studied and the consistency of respondent evaluations is provided. (Author)
