THE CORRELATION OF OCEANIC PARAMETERS WITH LIGHT ATTENUATION IN MONTEREY BAY, CALIFORNIA.

Abstract

An investigation of the correlation of oceanic parameters with light attenuation in Monterey Bay, California, was conducted during July and August 1968. Measurements of beam transmittance, salinity, temperature, density, and particulate matter, related in time and depth, were obtained during four cruises. Nearly 400 water samples were taken from two stations at depths between 0 and 85 m. (Author)
