THE VERTICAL WATER ENTRY OF A CONE.

Abstract

The report outlines a method which has been used to solve the problem of computing the hydrodynamic effects of a cone entering the water vertically. The method is essentially one of representing the potential as due to a source and dipole sheet on the cone and free surfaces, respectively. Preliminary results of a computer program are presented.
