Abstract
Soviet statements and actions suggest that a new look may be taken on agricultural policy which may lead to a significant shift of emphasis and resources away from military programs to agricultural improvements. Such changes could materially affect East European agriculture. The paper was presented at a conference on Soviet and East European Agriculture. (Author)
