AN APPLICATION OF RELIABILITY ANALYSIS METHODS TO A PROBLEM OF COMMUNICATIONS,

Abstract

The study had as one of its goals the establishment of a command-control communications system to support a special mission. To this end (and to satisfy certain other requirements of mission optimizing) a field test was run for about 3 months by the US Army. The required data were gathered and subsequently analyzed. The command-control communications analysis methodology included techniques usually found in reliability analyses. The purpose of this paper is to show one example of techniques common to one field being used in another field. (Author)
