TOPICS IN LEAKY SPACE-CHARGE WAVES. PART II.

Abstract

The report is the second of two parts dealing with the leaky space-charge waves, associated with Cerenkov radiation (Part I) and Smith-Purcell radiation and Wood anomalies (Part II). Using again Palocz and Oliner's self-consistent theory of leaky space-charge waves, we present in Part II the Smith-Purcell radiation effects and Wood anomalies of a modulated sheet beam passing between two parallel planar strip transmission grating. The grating is represented by a multimode network. (Author)
